Statement of Financial AccountabilityCatholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa is a private, non-profit, public benefit organization operating in six counties, with policy-making authority vested in a central corporate board of directors; regional advisory boards are active in Lake, Humboldt and Napa counties. Accountability to donors is demonstrated through the organizations strong management structure, sound accounting practices, tight fiscal controls, and timely compliance reporting. We consider accountability to our donors to be a matter of personal and corporate integrity. Catholic Charities operates within its consolidated budget after considerable review by program directors, management and the board of directors. Management and the board of directors review financial reports regularly. Catholic Charities also undergoes an annual, independent, third party audit by a qualified CPA firm and publishes the results in a two-year comparable form. Catholic Charities consistently files all required performance outcome data to satisfy its funding sources compliance requirements. It also files and publishes annual IRS Form 990, fully disclosing operating income and expenses.
