Funding

We rely on the generosity of private donors who believe in our mission and the success of our programs; these donations constitute 15 - 25% percent of our funding, depending on the year and size of other funding, especially federal grants.

This year, government grants reached a high of 50 percent of our funding, including city, county and federal sources (prior years were 38, 33 and 42 percent). This was largely due to American Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009/Homeless Prevention/Rapid-Re-housing Program funds. Foundation grants make up 12 -15 percent of our income.

Other sources are rental income, client fees and United Way. Catholic Charities receives no funds from the Diocese of Santa Rosa.
