Donating a car is easy and it is an efficient way to help others in need and get a tax-deduction!

How donating a car to Catholic Charities works:

• Contact Mary about your car donation, (707) 528-8712 ext. 258.  Please have your vehicle registration information available.
• Once we confirm that we can accept your vehicle, the car sale company will contact you about pick-up and obtaining your "pink slip" or proof of ownership papers. They will pick up your vehicle within a week.  It will then be sold at auction, and the proceeds (minus a small administrative fee) donated to the Catholic Charities’ program of your choice.  Vehicles are generally sold within two months.
• All vehicles "in process" by year's end will be credited to the same year's donation for tax purposes.
