Our Focus Diocese-wideServing the Redwood Empire since 1954 Catholic Charities assists communities by establishing human services programs that are needed most; if unable to do so, we assist in research and advocacy to help the community fill the need. Sonoma County is home to programs for teens, elders, homeless, the poor in rural areas, Alzheimer’s patients and more, directly assisting more approximately 30,000 people annually. Lake County needed help in feeding low-income working poor, and people below the poverty line, including seniors. We expanded our Rural Food Project, in cooperation with local agencies.
