About the photographerThese stunning images were captured by Dr. Phil Rasori who has been photographing indigenous peoples on six continents for the last twenty years. He works as a consultant in International Health and for fourteen years taught as part of the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine's program. He continues to lecture to the family practice residency program at Santa Rosa Medical Center. He is currently the director of Global Survival International and the medical director of Village HopeCore International. His exhibits have traveled throughout the country to such prestigious venues as the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco; the San Diego Museum of Man; eight exhibits on indigenous peoples at Stanford University; University of California Berkeley; San Francisco State University; Sonoma State University; the Museum of Peoples and Cultures at Brigham Young University; the University of Alabama; and the Everhart Museum of Art in Pennsylvania. In the summer of 2002, the California Academy of Sciences Museum of Natural History (Steinhart Aquarium building) in Golden Gate Park took the exhibit for twelve months. It presently is displaying thirty-three of the exhibit's photographs.
