Our current Sonoma County volunteer needs:
-
CHILD CARE: Caring adults and teens are needed to assist with child care Wednesday mornings 9am to 10:30 am and 6pm to 7pm bi-weekly beginning June 9th so our counseling programs can work with parents. Teens 16 and over are welcome. Adults and Teens over the age of 18 will need to be fingerprinted.
Child care is also needed Thursday evenings 6pm to 7:30pm at the Family Support Center while parents attend our Coach2Career job search learning center. We have a lovely newly decorated child care room.
-
SENIOR CARE: Our Senior Services programs are in need of compassionate adults and teens over 18 years of age to assist with our Alzheimer’s clients on Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 9am to 3pm. Musicians are also needed to provide entertainment for our clients.
Our I’m Home Alone program needs caring people to call seniors each morning to ensure they are awake and good for the day. Two shifts are available 8am to l0am or 10am to12pm Monday-Friday to make calls from our Airway Drive office. Weekend calls are made from homes.
Training is available for all Senior Services.
-
COMPUTER DATA ENTRY ASSISTANT: A data entry person is needed to assist our Stewardship Department with logging material donations into our database.
-
COACH 2 CAREER: “Dress for Success”: We need a creative, detail orientated person to organize our donations for interview clothes in the new “Dress for Success” Room. Several assistants are also needed as we have many donations to process.
-
DONATIONS TRANSPORTER: Drivers, with a truck or van, are greatly needed to pick up donations of furniture, appliances and household supplies that are donated to the Family Support Center and our other shelters/transitional housing programs.
