What We Do

Senior Programs

Everyone should be cared for and celebrated — seniors especially. No one should have to face these years of their lives alone. Catholic Charities seeks to alleviate the impact of isolation and enhance mobility for adults 60 years of age and older.

Services offered: Sonoma County

  • Caring Voices

Caring Voices is a daily phone reassurance service for homebound seniors, provided by trained volunteers. Participants feel a sense of security and reassurance with every call.

Calls run Monday through Friday during a timeframe of the participant’s choosing. A different friendly voice will ask you each day, “How are you doing?” and so much more…

To enroll in this program, please call (707) 308-4811.

  • Caring Rides

We connect seniors with their community by helping with their transportation needs. Our trained volunteer drivers take seniors to medical appointments, errands, and more. Riders will share in positive conversation along the way!

To enroll in this program, please call (707) 308-4811.

Senior Woman By her Car

“Each volunteer driver I've had has been friendly and outgoing. They don't rush me. Cheerful, happy, people who are doing very good work in our community. They are punctual, safe drivers, and I'm completely comfortable driving with them. I don't know what I'd do without their selfless assistance, to help a senior get food in the house. The service has changed my life." Kathleen, Caring Rides participant.
